What is the Arctic Barbarians Invasion Event
This is a similar event to the Evony Huns Invasion, in that it is PvE rather than PvP like the Evony Server War. During the Barbarian Invasion, the aim is to attack and occupy as many Arctic Barbarian Castles as you can. This will earn you points that count towards your personal and alliance score.
There are rewards available for hitting milestones in each. Additionally, there are Server Ranking Rewards available.
Arctic Barbarian Invasion Castles
During the Arctic Barbarian Invasion, Barbarian Castles will spawn at random around the World Map. They range from Level 1 to Level 6 and are defended by Barbarian Troops.
The defending Barbarian Troops get more powerful as the Barbarian Castle level increases. Defenses typically consist of a mixed march of troop types. Barbarian Castles can be attacked and then occupied during the event.
Attacking Arctic Barbarian Castles
You can attack the Barbarian Castles on your own or as an alliance rally. Defeating an Evony Barbarian Castle will grant you event points. The number of points earned will depend on the power of the Arctic Barbarian Castle and its level.
If attacking as part of a rally, your points earned will depend on the damage your troops did in the attack.
From experience there is a few things you should take note of before attacking. First of all what march should you use? Barbarian castles works differently from regular PvP. No matter what troops are in a barb castle usually a ranged PvP march is the simplest option and will give you least wounded. The most effective march is a regular ranged march with either T12 or T13, depending on the level and power of barb castle. This means you use regular fill layers like in regular PvP but only top up the T12/T13 archers! All rest shall be fill layers. If you cannot fill a march with just T12 or T13 combine both to fill march.
Secondly, you must look at level of castle and troop numbers and buffs in arctic castle. The higher the buffs the more difficult to win! Barb castles above 700% in buffs is usually only defeated by keep level 35 and above with very good archer buffs. In example a decent K36 with decent archer buffs can defeat level 5 castle up to 830% in buffs. Anything over and i loose. Troop numbers in barbarian castle is the second most important factor, low number of troops is obviously easier than higher number of troops.
So to sum up; Take into account the number of troops versus the buffs in order to estimate your win chance!
Occupying Arctic Barbarian Castles
Once an Evony Arctic Barbarian Castle has been defeated, it will burn for 20 minutes before being destroyed and disappearing. During this time, you can send troops to the Barbarian Castle to occupy it.
Occupying an Evony Barbarian Castle will grant you points. The number of points earned will depend on the power of the defeated Barbarian Castle and the power of your occupying troops. Points are awarded every second that you continue to occupy the Arctic Barbarian Castle.
When occupying, you must meet a minimum troop occupying power threshold in order to start accumulating points. To check this, select the Arctic Barbarian Castle and click detail.
Points earned will increase as you go further over this minimum, up until you reach the maximum troop power allowed.
Please note, there is a maximum number of troops that can be sent to occupy the Barbarian Castles. Therefore, if many alliance members are joining, it is best to only send troop power equal to the maximum allowed for earning points. This will ensure there is more space for everyone.
Also remember, you can be attacked while you occupy a barb castle. When you attack it your bubble will drop and both your keep and troops you have in barb castle can be attacked. For peaceful servers this is usually not a problem but having your keep next to the barb castle can be better since at least it's easier for other players to see that the castle is occupied and dont attack on mistake.

The reinforcement capacity of an Arctic castle is determined by the very FIRST monarch to enter the defeated castle. Therefore, you should try to ensure the one with the biggest Embassy/Reinforcement capacity is the first one in.
Another tip to manage how much power you use to reinforce the Arctic is to NOT send a general in with your troops. Only the power of the troops alone is counted towards the occupying power. Therefore, when putting your occupying march together, resign the general and then whatver power reading shows in the march-building screen is the exact power you'll be putting in the barbarian castle.
