The Essential F2P Evony Alt Guide

The Essential F2P Evony Alt Guide

Updated 3/16/23 by MoonfireArt

This guide is written by MoonfireArt and all credits goes to him!

Introduction

Welcome to my F2P Alt creation guide! The purpose of this guide is to provide you an in-depth, Step-by-step method to creating a self-sustaining alt that can funnel Billions of RSS every month with no investment. Of course, if you decide to invest money in your alts, they will build faster, but with a little patience, this is not needed.

There are four milestones of alt status, and each one will be covered in detail in their own sections. These milestones are:

  1. New Alt - Boss Finder (primarily growth focused, below Keep 25)

  2. Rally-joiner (lootable, Keep 25-28)

  3. Self-Sustaining Farmer (can exist outside of main alliance, farming focused, K28+)

  4. Maxed-out Alt (K35)

To help you keep track of your Alt’s progress, I have created some Spreadsheets with Progress checklists, RSS calculation templates, and Sub city trackers. Just make a copy of the sheet and fill it in according to the instructions. Link is below

Alt Prerequisites

You will need to create an account to link the alt to. For Android (or emulator) users, Google Play accounts are recommended. Just create a new Gmail account and follow the setup steps. IOS users (and people who do not want to use Google) have the option of using Facebook accounts. You will need one account per alt.

You will also want some kind of bot software to run, You will need a PC and an Emulator for this (sorry Apple users, you are currently out of luck). I recommend ESB, which you can find HERE. Installing and setup of this bot is beyond the scope of this guide, but the developer has very good documentation. I will include specific settings I recommend for each Alt Milestone.

New Alt - Boss Finder (<K25)

As a new alt, the best way to build it cheaply is to add it your main alliance and let it boss find. As you do this, it will be passively collecting Senior Boss Reward chests from bosses your alliance kills, which will provide you over the course of a month with enough RSS to level your Keep to K25. Speeds will be gotten via alliance gifts and activity gifts. If you find yourself slightly short on speeds, join a few Cerberus or Pan rallies.

Transferring to your server

The first thing you will want to do when you create your new alt account is to transfer it to the server you want it to live on. This must be done no later than the keep reaching K6, but I recommend doing it immediately, before you take any other actions (even the first puzzle). Here are the steps:

  1. The game will take you to the first puzzle. Click on the large green arrow to leave the puzzle without completing it. (or, if you just love puzzles, you can complete it.)

  2. The game will return you to your keep, with a big yellow arrow showing you the next step of the tutorial. DO NOT CLICK THIS ARROW. Instead, click anywhere else on the screen 7 times (might take more on an emulator due to input lag). This will exit the tutorial and let you take other actions.

  3. Go to the overworld map (Circle in bottom right of screen)

  4. From the overworld map, Click World Map

  5. From the world map, click Server list

  6. Find the server you want to be on, click that server to be taken to that server’s world map.

  7. Click on any empty spot, and click “Migrate”

  8. It will ask you if you are sure, click yes.

  9. You should now be on a random spot on your new home server

Daily Routine

  • Collect all Alliance Gifts (purchase and activity)

  • Collect any Mail Gifts

  • Collect daily Log-in rewards

  • Collect Tavern Great General Chest (Every 2 days)

  • Patrol Wall (3x day)

  • Free Gold Levy in Keep

  • Free Tax in Market

Growth Plan

Buildings

  • Rush K25. Focus only on completing required buildings to reach K25 (That includes academy when needed to complete required research)

Research

  • Complete only the required research to allow you to reach K25. If you have some spare gold, you can also do the Construction research (it is only a 10% Boost though)

Monarch Gear

  • Spend your limited gems getting your Construction Speed crown to level 3 to save you some speeds when upgrading buildings

Troops

  • Use the troops given to you for free if you wish to join some rallies. Typically, you will be 100% dedicated to boss finding, so troops are not an issue.

Rally-Joiner (K25-K28)

At this keep level, your alt has the ability to collect significant amounts of RSS for your main via joining rallies. While this is a good short term stopping point, I do not recommend it as it is stamina intensive and will gain you far less RSS a month than a combination of Gathering and Rally-joining (possible at K28). However, if you fully rally join for 1 month using my recommended bosses, you should be able to shoot up to K28 after that first month. You may need to either send stamina from your main (around 20,000 per Ymir weeks), or if you can spend a small amount, buy the $5 Monster Kill pack on Monster Kill day with a 2x coupon.

Daily Routine

  • Collect all Alliance Gifts (purchase and activity)

  • Collect any Mail Gifts

  • Collect daily Log-in rewards

  • Collect Tavern Great General Chest (Every 2 days)

  • Patrol Wall (3x day)

  • Free Gold Levy in Keep

  • Free Tax in Market

  • CHECK BUBBLE

  • Spin Wheel of Fortune 1x

  • Compose 3 materials

  • Collect daily VIP Gift

  • Collect In-City RSS (2x a day)

  • Break Crazy Eggs (Best source of gems)

  • Collect any Kings Path or Gather Troops you may have completed, check any other ongoing events

  • Donate to Alliance Research

  • Buy Tributes from Alliance shop

Bosses to join on

I recommend the following plan for selecting which bosses to rally for the first month, in order to hit K28 as fast as possible.

  • Cerberus, all levels

    • Junior Cerberus would not normally be recommended, but it is a good source of King’s scrolls which you will need for your gatherers, as most alliances do not rally B10 and B11. They also provide the speeds you will need to finish your buildings.

  • B10 and B11 (for Kings scrolls, stop when you have enough)

  • Ymir’s 2 and above

  • Pans 3 and above

    • Normally not recommended, but you will need the speeds to finish K28 in the first month. You can skip this if rallying Cerberus

  • Hydras, all levels

    • Best source of Monarch XP in the game, and you will need it

  • Vikings level 20+. Hard only

    • Do this only for a single week, and you will have enough gold and Research Stones for all needed research. 2 Weeks if your alliance is small.

  • Event Bosses 3 and above

    • You may not have a choice of which event boss is running during your month, Witches and Warlords are the best, Golems and Lava Turtles the worst

Growth Plan

Buildings

  • Keep 25 (and all prerequisites)

  • Academy 25 (for 5th march slot)

  • War Hall 1 (required to join alliance rallies)

  • Tavern 25 (only if searching for Generals)

Research

*All research should be to max level for Academy 25

    • Super Typography

    • Super Construction

  • MILITARY TAB

    • Formation

    • Tracing

    • Adv Dispatch

    • Adv Compass

    • Super Adv Dispatch

Troops

  • 2,000 T1 ground troops should be sufficient for rally joining. Heal them as needed.

Monarch Gear

  • Justice Horn (level 6)

  • Construction Crown (Level 4+)

  • Research Crown (level 4+)

Generals (OPTIONAL)

Our research has found that sending 1 troop with no general to rallies will actually allow you to join more rallies and thus gain more boxes than using a Double Drop general, especially without heavy investment. However, this strategy is very stamina intensive. If you want to remain at this Keep level,or if stamina is a concern, then investing in Double Drop generals may be worth it to you. WARNING: Doing this will significantly delay your ability to transition to gathering, as Medals are a major bottleneck early in Keep existence.

That said, here is how to build out your Double Drop generals if you wish:

  • 5x Baibars or Cleopatra (obtainable in Tavern)

    • There is only a 5% difference in Double drop percentage between the two of them, and Cleopatra is much easier to obtain, being purple. You can also get a free Cleopatra by completing the first 10 puzzles.

  • Level your generals to 25 (allows them to use assistants)

  • 5 star your Generals

  • Cultivate Leadership to 500 bonus (Affects march Speed)

  • 5x Kings Rings, 5 starred

  • 5x Kings Spear, 5 starred

    • Refine for March Speed to Monsters

  • Kings Boots, 5 starred

    • Refine for March Speed

  • March Speed Skill Book

  • March Speed to Monsters Skill Book

  • 5x Nathanial Greene (if saving stamina) OR 5x Spartacus (increases March Speed)

    • These generals do not need to be leveled or starred, and are available in the Tavern.

  • Spiritual beast Bird of Hurricane (provides Double Drop bonus to a single general, not a high priority)

Self-Sustaining Farmer (K28+)

At this level of alt, it is expected that you will be Gathering every day with the exception of Ymir event (4 days a month) and SVS weekend (you can rally join if you have the stamina, or perform other tasks such as spinning your Wheel of Fortune, search the Tavern, etc). Once built to this minimum level, you can expect to make roughly 22B total RSS from this alt per month. At this keep level, it is recommended that you focus on a single RSS type.

Daily Routine

  • Collect all Alliance Gifts (purchase and activity)

  • Collect any Mail Gifts

  • Collect daily Log-in rewards

  • Collect Tavern Great General Chest (Every 2 days)

  • Patrol Wall (3x day)

  • Break Crazy Eggs (Best source of gems)

  • Collect any Kings Path or Gather Troops you may have completed, check any other ongoing events

  • Donate to Alliance Research

  • Buy Tributes from Alliance shop

  • Use 24 hour Gathering Boost (unless Ymir or SVS day)

Growth Plan

Buildings

  • Keep 28

  • Academy 28

  • Tavern 28 (to try and get Queen Jindeok. It has been tested and she does appear at this Tavern level)

  • Warehouse 24 (required to lift the gathering storage cap)

  • Bunker 25 (hide some troops when looting the alt!, Optional)

  • War Hall 1

  • Shrine 25+

  • Forge 21

  • Art Hall 27

    • This is used to try and unlock the Mona Lisa exhibition, which grants gathering boosts

  • Forge 21 (for Kings weapons)

  • Rally Spot 28

    • If you decide to use T10 Siege, you can stop at 25

  • Farms x 15, level 28

    • Farms have a higher RSS amount for in-city tiles than the other 3. This helps eliminate the need to actively gather food

  • Primary RSS Tile x12, level 28

  • 1 each Army Camp and 2 other RSS tiles, needed for building prerequisites

Research

*All research should be maxed for Academy 28

Troops

  • Choice of or mix of the following

    • T10 Siege x 330,000

    • T3 Siege x 762,000

    • T1 Siege x 1,221,000

  • T10 troops have a much higher food upkeep, but allow you to level your gathering generals on sub cities. I would start with these, then dismiss them and build T1 once your generals are leveled.

Monarch gear and level

You want to aim for Monarch level 29 for maximum Gathering Boost Talent.

  • Loyalty Horn Lv 6+ (Troop Load)

  • Gathering Crystal of chosen RSS Type Lv 6

  • Construction, Research, and Troop Training Crown, Lv 6

Subordinate Cities

  • Free Sub City - Korean culture, should be leveled up to Blue (total of 55,000 gems)

  • Remaining sub cities should be the highest level Koreas you can get your hands on.

Generals

  • 5x Queen Jindeok (preferred) or Constance I (easier to get)

    • Try to get Jindeoks if at all possible. She can be hard to get in the tavern, so you may need to use Constance for a while. Replace her with Jindeok as soon as possible though. The 20% gathering boost difference is a major loss of RSS

  • Level all generals to max for monarch level (29 is ideal)

  • Cultivate Politics to 500 Bonus for all generals (increases Gathering Speed)

  • 5x Kings weapons corresponding to your chosen RSS Type. 5 starred and refined for RSS Gathering Speed (Stopping at 3 refines will save you a lot of gems

    • Spear = Food; Axe = Wood, Sword = Stone, Bow = Ore

  • 5x Sets of Champion gear (Helm, Chest, Legs, Boots)

  • Siege Load Skill Book

  • RSS Type Gathering Speed Skill Book

  • March Speed Skill Book (optional)

  • 5x Assistant generals

    • Lucy is a good all-around general (adds gathering speed)

    • Shimazu should be used for Food Gathering Keeps (30% RSS Boost)

    • Gaius can be used for other 3 RSS Types (RSS Boost)

    • Attila can be used if Troop Load is exceptionally low

    • Assistants need not be leveled or starred or cultivated

Maxed-out Alt (K35)

An Alt that has been increased to K35 increases the monthly RSS intake from 22B RSS per month to 33B RSS per month. This is due to the 6th march, Base Gathering speed boost of Tiles (increases by Keep level), and bonus speed to in-city tiles (Increases per Keep Level).

Ideally, you should only need to raise the Keep to K35, and academy to 35 (for the 6th march Slot), plus any required buildings. It is expected that you will fully recoup the cost within 7 months, less if done during Consume. However, if you spread it out one level per month, you will still maintain a good RSS income while boosting your keep.

Boosting all in-city tiles to level 35 will add another 3B RSS a month of income, but will take several years to recoup the costs. This is really not worth doing. Boosting to Level 30 will grant appx 1B RSS extra a month, and will take 9 months to recoup cost. This may be more palatable.
