Every second week, the Evony Server War (SvS) takes place. In this event, 2 servers are matched together and compete against one another to be crowned the victor. This event lasts a whole week and has some great rewards available for those who take part.
When is it
The Evony Server War is regular Evony event which takes place every two weeks. It commences on a Monday at 8am server time and finishes 7 days later.
What is it
Each SvS the event is made up of 2 key components: the Server Monarch Competition and the Server War.
Eligibility
New Servers are not eligible to participate in a Server War right away. A Server must be at least 60 days old before they are able to compete in the event. They must also have had their first Server King. Players must be at least Keep Level 7 to be able to teleport into the enemy server.
Evony Server Monarch Competition
The Server Monarch Competition is very similar to the standard Monarch Competition. However, the key difference here is that all players from a server have their points contributed to their Server’s overall score. The server that accumulates the most points, wins the round. Winning a round gives the winning server an extra reward. The 6 rounds are made up of the following:
Monster Kill – Kill monsters for points
Resource Gathering – Gather resources for points
Troop Training – Build troops for points
Power Increase – Gain monarch power for points
City Development – Upgrade buildings and research for points
Troop Killing – Kill enemies for points
Evony Server War Guide
However, it is the second component, the Server War, which is the most important. It offers the best rewards and the most fun for those that take part. This is the Player versus Player element. In this round, you are able to teleport to the other server to attack enemies. The more enemies you kill, the more points you earn. However, they can also teleport to your Server and attack you, so you need to be careful! It begins at midnight Server Time on the Friday and lasts for a full 48 hours.
Evony Server War Guide: Earning Points
Points can be earned in several ways during the Server War. The most effective is from killing enemy troops. You earn more points the higher the tier of the enemy troops you kill. Points can also be earned by killing monsters on either server, collecting Fire Spirits on either server, visiting Ares Statues on either server, holding enemy server Temples and by holding the enemy server Throne. Below you can see the full list of points that can be earned from each avenue. These earned points contribute both to your personal score and your Server’s total score.
Killing Enemies
Please note that killing troops from players on your own server will not contribute to your score.

Statues and Fire Spirits
During the Evony Server War, there are two new items that appear on the World Map. These are Ares Statues and Fire Spirits. They can be visited for a small reward and also for some points. Visiting them on the Enemy Server will earn you more points than visiting them on your own server. Each Ares Statue can be visited 10 times and each Fire Spirit can be visited 3 times by different players. Once they have received this many visits, they disappear from the World Map.
Occupying Enemy Temples
To earn points from occupying Temples on the enemy server. your march size must have a minimum 5 million power. Every additional 1m March Power will award 37 more points per second up to a maximum of 2,000 points per second. If an enemy Temple is occupied for a total of 6 hours, then it becomes your Servers. This will create a negative buff for the enemy Server following the completion of the event. Defending your own Server Temples will award your Server some buffs at the end of the event.
Temple Points
In addition to the above, if you defend a Temple, your server will have chest spawns at the Temple every 6 hours. These chests will contain gems, resources, speedups and materials. Additionally, if you win the Server War then you will not receive any negative buff from lost Temples.
Top Tip: If you lose the Hunter Temple, you can remove the negative speed buff by applying a march decoration.
Occupying Enemy Throne
To earn points from occupying the Throne on the enemy server your march size must have a minimum 9.5 million power. Every additional 1m March Power will award 100 more points per second up to a maximum of 10,000. The Throne War will open up 24 hours after the Evony Server War has begun. In order to capture the enemy Throne, you must occupy it for 5 hours in a row. Achieving this will award 50% of the enemy Server’s final Server War score to your own Server. The occupying player will also become the King of the enemy Server.
Evony Server War Guide: Player vs. Player
Taking part in Player vs. Player (PvP) during the Evony Server War is the key to racking up a good score and therefore also great rewards. Here we outline some key components to taking part in this element of the Evony Server War.
Attacking Enemy Server
Teleporting to Enemy Server
At the start of every Evony Server War, you are awarded 4 Server Teleport items. These are required to teleport to the enemy Server. Once, you run out, you can no longer teleport there. If you do not use them all then they can be carried over to the next Evony Server War event. To use the Server Teleports, you just click use on the item in your inventory. This will teleport you to a random location on the enemy server. You can then use your Advanced Teleports to go to specific locations on the enemy Server.
Bubbling
When you first teleport to the enemy Server you will have a 5-minute bubble active. During this time, no one can attack you. You can attack enemy Server monsters without losing your bubble. However, if you attack an enemy then your bubble will drop. At this point, anyone can attack you. You cannot apply a new bubble when on the enemy Server. Thankfully, while on the enemy Server, your subordinate cities on your own Server will always have a bubble.
Keep Decoration
Whilst on the enemy Server, your keep will look different. This makes it much easier for the enemy to know you are from the rival Server. Your keep will appear as a larger and darker Keep as seen in the picture. This will also be the case when the enemy is on your Server so you can spot them easy too.
Returning to Home Server
There are 2 ways to return to your own Server from the enemy Server. You can use an Advanced Teleport to move to a specific location on your Server. It is a good idea to have a spot bookmarked so you can find your Server quickly. Alternatively, you can wait for an enemy player to force teleport you from their Server. This happens when they attack your Keep multiple times and reduce your Walls to 0 HP. At this point you will be teleported to a random spot on your Server.
Top Tip: After being force teleported to your own Server, you should bubble very quickly. It is likely they will track you back to your server and attempt to hit you before you have time to ghost your troops again.
Healing Troops
Troops dying and PvP go hand in hand. Thankfully, the Evony Server War makes the healing cost of this much lower.
Hospital Capacity
During the Evony Server War your Hospital capacity is increased by 50%.
Source of Life
Once your Hospital capacity has reached is limit, your troops still not instantly die like in normal PvP. Instead, they go to a new “Revive” section in the Hospital building. Here you can use a new item called Source of Life to revive these troops. Each Source of Life item can revive a certain number of troops based on their total power. You can increase the amount of power each source of Life can revive via research in your Academy building. These are found under the Medical Aid research tree and are called Light of Server War and Adv Light of Server War. Source of Life items can be bought for 1,000 Gems in the shop and received as event rewards. One of the best events for Source of Life is the weekly Vikings event.
Generals
Unfortunately, generals can still be killed and must be revived in the usual way at your Shrine building.
Evony Server War Guide: Unlocking Your Wonder
Performing well in the Evony Server War is key to unlocking your Wonder building. To do this, you must finish in the top 5 on your Server during the Evony Server War. Once you have done this, you will be able to build the Wonder. It can take 180 days to build (depending on your construction research and duty General) and the resource cost will be as seen below:
Food – 525,000,000
Lumber – 525,000,000
Stone – 525,000,000Ore – 525,000,000
Badge – 1,700
Research Stone – 4,000
Once you have finished constructing your wonder, you are rewarded with several benefits. First you will unlock the Norway Ridge Dragon which grants debuffs vs. ground and mounted troops. You will also unlock Server War Ares which allows you to add a blue wings decoration to your keep. Lastly, have a level 1 Wonder also allows you to upgrade your Dragon Armor to Ares Armor. There are also some new Keep avatars for finishing first place on the winning server.
Evony Server War Guide: The Rewards
In the Evony Server War, you are given rewards based on your Personal, Server and Alliance points total. A full list of the rewards available can be seen below.
Monarch Score Rewards
These are awarded based on your total score. When you hit the required score, you are awarded with the corresponding chest. Unlocking all 9 chests will award you a total of 94,500 gems!!
Monarch Ranking Rewards
These rewards are awarded based on your score position vs. everyone else in your server. Only the top 10 qualify for these extra rewards.
Alliance Score Rewards
These are awarded based on your Alliance total score. When your Alliance hits the required score you are awarded with the corresponding chest.
Alliance Ranking Rewards
These rewards are awarded based on your Alliance score position vs. all other Alliances in your server. Only the top 10 Alliances qualify for these extra rewards.
Server Score Rewards
If your Server wins the Evony Server War, then you gain an additional reward. The size of the reward depends on both your individual points total and all the Server points total. As the Server points total increases, so does the pool rewards available to the Server. Your share is calculated as the proportion of your total points compared to the Server’s total. There, if your points total is equal to 1% of the Server total points then you will be rewarded with 1% of the Server’s reward pool. You must reach a minimum personal score of 300,00 to be eligible for these rewards.
Evony Server War Guide: Strategy and Tips
Finding Enemies in your Server
One of the easiest ways to pick up points is by attacking enemy players whilst they are on your server. This scenario is best as you can stay bubbled, spot an enemy, speed attack them as soon as their 5-minute bubble drops and then instantly bubble again once your attack is complete. It is also a good idea here to have all your troops apart from your main PvP march ghosted here.
To find an enemy player on your Server you can navigate to Event Centre -> Server War -> Ranking of Enemy Sever -> Alliance Power Ranking. From here select any enemy Server alliance and scroll through their member list. If you see a little gold crossed sword icon in the bottom left of their avatar, then it means they are on your server. Locate this player by selecting them and clicking locate coordinates to use an Arrest Warrant to take you to their location.
It is now also a good idea to add this player to your block list. In this way you can continue to track the player easily as they teleport around your Server. When they move, simply navigate to your block list to select the player and repeat the Arrest Warrant process to locate their new location.
Using Bookmarks
When going to the enemy server you should always have 2 key points bookmarked: a monster to ghost on and a return location on your home server. In this way, you can ghost your troops very quickly and also have a place to return to very quickly.
Server Purge
Before each Evony Server War begins, it is a good idea to conduct a Server Purge. During this period people taking part in the purge are allowed to hit all unbubbled keeps and anyone that is gathering on resource tiles. The idea here is to stop the enemy Server picking up easy points once the Server War has begun. It is standard practice to start the Server Purge about 2 hours before the Server War starts. All players should be given plenty of notice, so they have time to recall gathering troops and bubble their Keeps.
Research
It is very important to max out your Light of Server War, Adv Light of Server War and Medicine research. Light of Server War and Adv Light of Server War greatly increase the number of troops you can revive with each Source of Life. Whilst Medicine reduces the healing cost of troops significantly. It is also a good idea to ensure you have selected the Healing Cost ability under your Talents when you do go to heal your troops. This can reduce healing costs by a further 20% if maxed out.
